It’s Take Action Wednesday!

Today’s Take Action task is quite simple:

In many states, for primaries, we’re getting down to the wire. In some states, it may already be too late (Sorry friends!).

What if you don’t care or don’t want to vote? Do it anyway! You know the cliche about people in blizzard-prone states who rush headlong into the grocery store, clambering over fellow citizens in pursuit of milk, bread, and eggs when a big storm is announced?Whether or not they may have an interest in French Toast during that storm? Consider this your milk, bread, and eggs. It’s better to be registered and choose not to vote than to want to vote only to find out it’s too late to register.

And it can’t get any easier than this:

You start by entering your state, and then you’ll be directed to the registration rules and deadlines for your particular state. And, some states have online registration!

I probably don’t need to remind you but if you aren’t/haven’t always been a land-owning white male, then other citizens literally died to make sure your constitutional right to vote applied equally to all citizens.

One last thing – have you moved since the last time you voted? You may need to update your registration with your current address so you are all set on voting day.
